You’ve heard the stories of the heroes. You’ve heard the legends of treasures. Nothing ventured; nothing gained.
So here you are to gain:
Knowledge. Power. Techniques. Gold. Items of interest and ones of power.
And to that end, you have left your hamlets and villages, your trainers and masters, your studies and libraries. You(or your masters) felt training had reached it’s beneficial end(maybe yours, maybe theirs) and it was now time to gain in practical application to what was yet theoretically useful skills.
